I'm reviewing as a local. I used to love this park. However, it is not as safe as it once was. My car was just broken into during broad daylight in a busy part of the park in full view of the parkway… Full review by Alacrity1980

Rocky River Reservation was very accessible and a lot of history there. If you are climbing make sure to have a firm grip! Full review by pettitim
We are coming to the rocky river area At the end of August. We will have our 12, 10, and twin 9 year old boys with us. They are dying to do some river exploring, river stomping, where they can play in a shallow river. Is this a place where that could happen?

Welcome to the area! I'd contact the Rocky River Reservation staff or the Cleveland Metroparks to double-check this hasn't changed over the years, but I remember growing up & wading through the shallower parts of the river in that area with my parents & siblings. We even have family pictures documenting one such incident of this. I'm not sure what you mean by "river stomping," but as far as I know--& again, pending verification from the park authorities, I suspect this is a place where wading, playing, & exploring could happen. However, children CANNOT be left unattended. There are spots where the current is strong, so the youngsters' play would require adult supervision AND adult physical presence with them in the river at all times.
