Must see. It was windy but a unique view over the water and of the surfers. Particularly scenic at sunset. More of just a scenery activity. For shopping, check out the nearby shops across the street. Full review by traveler5005

It's ok first thing in the morning. I mean early as in 7:00 am early. You can find a parking spot fairly easy. Just remember to bring change with you as you will need it for the meters. After early morning hours and during the day, it gets a little crazy with the parking and is pretty crowded. You can drive around on the side streets and eventually find one. It just depends on where you're going as to where you can park. I'd recommend just a block over on 9th street, you can find parking most of the time on the residential streets and it is for free. Hope this helps. Enjoy your time there.
Q:
Are there restrooms available on or near the beach?
A:
Yes, plenty and clean too.
Q:
Can I bring a canopy to the beach? I have small children and want to protect as much from sun.
A:
Yes you can bring Canopies & umbrellas. If you don't have your own you can buy one at Surf City Segway just up Main Street.
Q:
do they allow dogs on the beach??
A:
Unfortunately no pets are allowed on the pier
