Many people celebrated the holidays across the Chicago area Sunday. A menorah lighting was held on the North Side and others visited the Chicago Christmas Tree in Millennium Park.

Hanukkah beginning on Christmas Day brings already-intertwined traditions into even closer proximity for some families.

For the first time since 2005, the first night of the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah falls on Christmas Day. And some families across North Texas will be celebrating both holidays at the same time this year.
