Pavel Datsyuk, a two-time Stanley Cup champ with the Red Wings in 2002 and 2008, officially joined the Hockey Hall of Fame on Monday.

Detroit Red Wings great and two-time Stanley Cup-winning winger Pavel Datsyuk was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame Monday night. Datsyuk was inducted alongside Shea Weber, Jeremy Roenick, Natalie Darwitz and Krissy Wendell as the 2024 inductees in the player category on Monday night. David Poile and Colin Campbell entered as builders.

Datsyuk, 46, gained entry his first year of eligibility after retiring in 2021 following five seasons in the KHL. His credentials include two Stanley Cup championships and three Selke Trophies as the NHL’s top defensive forward. He is a member of the elusive Triple Gold Club, having won a Cup, Olympic gold medal and World Championship.

Datsyuk will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Monday. Joining Datsyuk will be Colin Campbell and David Poile, both in the builder category, as well as Natalie Darwitz, Jeremy Roenick, Shea Weber and Krissy Wendell in the player category.

As the hockey world gathered to celebrate a new group of legends, the conversations with players, alumni and execs also included other hot topics.
