A Maine man was identified Tuesday as the driver who died in a three-car crash on Interstate 95 south in Portsmouth, N.H. that also injured two women, including one from Massachusetts, authorities said.

Police responded to a three-vehicle crash on I-95 southbound near mile marker 13 in Portsmouth, resulting in one death and two injuries.

Troopers responded to a report of a car smoking stopped in the middle lane of I-95 south in Portsmouth, State Police said.
