A Southwest Airlines flight from San Jose to Burbank was forced to return to San Jose and make an emergency landing after developing engine trouble just minutes into the flight, authorities said.

A Southwest Airline flight out of Oakland made an emergency landing on Wednesday night due to a possible flap issue, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

A small plane made an emergency landing on Highway 85 without injuries, blocking traffic and awaiting removal.
