Vice President Kamala Harris has accepted an invitation to debate former President Donald Trump on October 23, according to CNN. The Democratic candidate posted to X on Saturday that “I will gladly accept a second presidential debate on October 23. I hope [Trump] will join me.”

Donald Trump appeared to find it curious that “somehow” a woman was doing better than Joe Biden had been in the presidential race. During an appearance on Fox News’ Gutfeld! on Wednesday, the Republican nominee reflected on the president’s decision to end his campaign and Vice President Kamala Harris ’ entry into the race.

It has been a little over a week since former President Donald Trump faced off against Vice President Kamala Harris in their first, and possibly only debate. During a Georgia rally, Harris-supporter were still laughing at Trump's widely-panned performance.

Kamala Harris has strongly criticized Donald Trump and his party over their abortion policies, labeling them as hypocrites. She attributed Trump's abortion ban to the deaths of two women in Georgia and stressed the importance of addressing women's healthcare needs.
