The more modern B58, unsurprisingly, comes out on top in terms of pure power specs, with even the base 286 hp version getting the better of the non-turbocharged 227 hp 2JZ-GE.

The 2JZ-GE was a popular engine that powered a variety of Toyota models, including the Chaser. It's the naturally aspirated variant of everyone's favorite overengineered monstrosity, the 2JZ-GTE.
