The northbound lanes were closed at milepost 229, and the southbound lanes were closed at State Route 188, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The Brief DPS officials say they are investigating a crash along a stretch of State Route 188 in Gila County. The crash happened south of Jakes Corner. Two people died as a result of the crash.
