This year, the XPS 13 been redesigned to be slimmer and more power efficient. The XPS 13 2-in-1, meanwhile, has been transformed from a foldable laptop into a detachable Surface competitor.

It looks like Dell is aiming directly for Microsoft’s Surface Pro with its refreshed XPS 13 2-in-1. At its core, the new modal device from Dell comes in a 13-inch tablet form.

Dell sells the XPS 13 2-in-1 in a variety of configurations, starting at $1,049, but that does not get you the keyboard folio, which is a $100 add-on. You definitely want the keyboard, too.

Dell is overhauling its XPS 13 2-in-1 for 2022 with a new tablet design. Gone is the reversible laptop hinge and, in its place, is a magnetic folio and stylus to compete with iPad and Surface devices.
