Suraiya: Dev Anand's first love was Suraiya, with whom he worked in films during the 1940s. Their on-screen chemistry translated into a passionate real-life affair.

In 2004, when Suraiya said goodbye to this world at the age of 74, everyone expected that Dev Anand would definitely go to see her for the last time. But this did not happen and this love story ended.
