Minnesota responded to New York's nine-minute drive with its own time-consuming drive. The Vikings ran 14 plays for 57 yards, taking 6:51 off the clock. They settled for a 30-yard field goal from Reichard, taking a 16-13 lead with 4:15 to play in the fourth quarter.
The Vikings (7-8) shut down rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart and the Giants (2-13). New York finished with a meager 141 yards of offense, by far its lowest total of the season. Minnesota sacked Dart five times and intercepted him once, as the 22-year-old finished with just 33 yards on 7-of-13 passing.
Dart hasn’t had to go through last week’s disappointment alone. He’s had conversations with interim head coach Mike Kafka. He has also sought perspective from veteran quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, both of whom have had their fair share of disappointing showings.
The Las Vegas Raiders injury report listed Maxx Crosby as a DNP again as team prepares for Week 17 vs. Giants with high draft stakes.
Jaxson Dart's diamond heart necklace from his sister that he wears to every New York Giants game as his "good luck" charm broke when playing against the Minnesota Vikings on Dec. 21, 2025.
The Vikings announced that quarterback J.J. McCarthy is ruled out against the Giants with a right-hand injury.
