In view of this change due to the merger, the Canara Bank has put out a notice that all IFSC codes of Syndicate Bank account holders starting with SYNB will now be changed to CNRB.

Attention to Erstwhile Syndicate Bank account holders: IFSC will change from 1st July, 2021. Kindly check your new IFSC on our website, Canara Bank said in a tweet.

The present e-Syndicate Bank cheque book with old MICR and IFSC is valid up to June 30 only. ... The customers can also contact Canara Bank through the customer care number 18004250018.

Apart from this, the customer care of Canara Bank can also be contacted on 18004250018. "All the IFSC starting with SYNB will be disabled W.E.F 01.07.2021," Canara Bank said.
