And then once we had that, we titled the album Nonagon Infinity. The blending of all the songs, and linking stuff together, that was the first time we really worked on doing that.
It was clear on “Nonagon Infinity” that King Gizzard had the ability to play heavy and play fast, but “Fishies” seemed to indicate that they instead wanted to be goofabouts and underachievers.
In the latter half of the show, the band tore into the memorable Nonagon Infinity opener “Robot Stop,” which turned the entire front half of the crowd into one giant mosh pit.
