Canadian wildfire smoke is drifiting across Michigan. As of July 31, the entire state is under an advisory for unhealthy air.

There could also be an inch or so of snow in the central part of Lower Michigan around Mount Pleasant. Total snowfall forecast from the National Weather Service through midday Thursday, April 10.
The majority of the Lower Peninsula is at a low fire risk, the map shows. Nine monitoring stations report a medium risk, mainly in southwest and central Michigan.
Western Lower Michigan will have the strongest gusts the earliest, going into effect at 7 p.m. this evening and ending at 7 a.m. Thursday. The shoreline counties could have 55 mph gusts tonight.
