Theme Parks Tribune Media Wire ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Disney announced on Thursday their newest attraction at Disney California Adventure Park "Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters" will open on March 7.
Disney’s Imagineers don’t always get it right. Luigi’s Flying Tires was one of three new rides in Cars Land when the expansion opened in Disney California Adventure in 2012.
The attraction is based on Cars character Luigi and his 20 cousins who are visiting from Italy to dance and celebrate Race Day at Casa Della Tires.

The new ride debuting in the 12-acre Cars Land at Disney California Adventure in summer 2012 recalls the short-lived, breakdown-prone Flying Saucers that moved from Disneyland to Yesterland in 1966.
The attraction will be located in Cars Land, replacing Luigi's Flying Tires behind his Casa Della Tires, where guests will ride in the cars as they rock and spin to Italian jams.
