The 2018 holidays will be the final opportunity for North American consumers to purchase NES & SNES Classic Edition mini consoles at their retail price.

Over 30 years ago, Nintendo released the Nintendo Entertainment System. In 2018, it re-released a miniature, digital version of the classic console: the NES Classic Edition (seen above).

Alongside this, the Famicom Mini, or the Japanese version of the NES Classic Edition, will also see a re-release this Summer in two variants.

As promised, Nintendo is bringing back the NES Classic Edition after a brief discontinuation period. The mini-console will be available at stores beginning June 29, the company announced on Twitter.
