Adm. Daryl Caudle, the commander of U.S. Fleet Forces, was nominated to be the next chief of naval operations for the Navy, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told senators Wednesday.

President Donald Trump on June 17 nominated U.S. Fleet Forces Commander Adm. Daryl Caudle to serve as the Navy’s next chief of naval operations, according to the Senate Armed Services Committee.
