The Oklahoma City Thunder (and the Seattle Supersonics before them) have 51 jersey numbers worn by the players who have suited up for the franchise since its founding at the start of the 1967-68 season.

For Oklahoma City specifically, fans will get their first look at those new uniforms this Sunday, Nov. 17 against the Dallas Mavericks. As announced by the Thunder, the 2024-25 version of the uniform’s design completes a two-year story arc reflecting Oklahoma City’s evolving landscape, growth, and momentum.

The 11th of those 17 players to wear No. 8 did so in the Oklahoma City Thunder era, OKC point guard alum Ish Smith. After ending his college career with Wake Forest, Smith went unselected in the 2010 NBA draft, and instead was picked up by the Houston Rockets as a free agent.

During his time playing for Oklahoma City, Mohammed wore jersey Nos. 8 and 13 in that order, and averaged 3.7 points, and 3.2 rebounds per game.

After Chet Holmgren suffered an injury against the Golden State Warriors, Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins entered the starting lineup on Monday night.

The first of those 17 players to wear No. 8 did so in the Oklahoma City Thunder era, OKC wing alum Ronnie Brewer. After ending his college career with the University of Arkansas, Brewer was picked up with the 16th overall pick of the 2006 NBA draft by the Utah Jazz.
