WSDOT needs to install 700 piles during the entire project. There will be five pile-driving seasons, each between September and April through 2030. Tree and vegetation removal is already underway.

WSDOT's construction engineering manager, Dave Becher, says the pile-driving project is scheduled to end in April. At that point, they will look to repairs or compensation for valid damage claims.

Summer might be over, but the WSDOT's road work season continues on. Crews began new work for the department's Revive I-5 project in south Seattle Monday.
