Boeing has asked airlines to inspect all of their 737 Max jets for a potential loose bolt in the rudder system after an airline discovered a potential problem with a key system on two aircraft.

On September 30, the NTSB reported that over 40 foreign operators of the Boeing 737 aircraft, including the 737 MAX models, might be using planes with rudder components that can raise safety risks.

The Federal Aviation Administration says it is closely monitoring inspections of Boeing 737 MAX jets after the plane-maker requested that airlines check for loose bolts in the rudder control system.
