Schools in Springfield, Ohio, will open Tuesday with increased security provided by the state, as threats linked to false claims about Haitian immigrants continue to disrupt daily life in the city.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Parents of students at a Springfield school received a notification about an alleged threat posted online. A parent of a student at Discovery Polytech Early College High School contacted 22News and said the school sent a text on Friday morning stating:

Two Springfield City School District elementary schools were evacuated and a middle school was closed Friday morning after threats against the buildings were made, according to school officials.
