A vote is scheduled for Tuesday, June 24. If approved, the Milwaukee City Flag Task Force would coordinate a community-led campaign with support from city departments and the Milwaukee Public Library.

Burgelis said the adoption of a new city flag would have "some sort of fiscal note with it." Tuesday the full common council will vote on whether to launch the task force.

Alderman Peter Burgelis filed a substitute resolution that, if adopted, would create a Milwaukee City Flag Task Force to accept design submissions from the public.
