CINCINNATI — The Bearcats football team took its winter workouts to Nippert Stadium recently for some tug of war and other team-building activities. Check out the squad in action as they continue bulking up ahead of the 2025 season:

Patrick Gurd, who just helped the Ohio State Buckeyes win a national championship, will play his final season for Scott Satterfield and the Bearcats. Gurd is 6-foot-4 and 249 pounds and prepped at New Albany High School. Gurd made his announcement Monday night.

Ohio State football dealt with a few departures via the transfer portal, but as we always say, once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye, and we want to continue to follow and cheer on all our former Ohio State players.

Cincinnati has added some depth to its tight end room. Ohio State tight end Patrick Gurd is transferring to the school after visiting Cincinnati this past Thursday. Joe Royer's former teammate has appeared in 22 games across his Buckeye career with two catches for 15 yards.

The University of Cincinnati will begin directly paying its athletes later this year. Why won't player salaries be publicly released?
