It’s been quite a while since the Vive launched, but HTC has just debuted a brand new Deluxe Audio Strap headband replacement for the Vive, launching in Q2 of this year.

If you do decide to splash out on the tracker, you will receive the puck itself, as well as a USB cable, a power adaptor, a 2.4GHz wireless adapter, and a cradle for that same dongle.

HTC’s Vive Ultimate Tracker is a new $199 VR peripheral with support for inside-out tracking, meaning it can track your limbs or other objects without base stations.

Vive Tracker costs $99 (£100, AU$169) or it comes in a few US bundles with an accessory (a light gun recreation, or set of a tennis racket and a ping-pong paddle) and Steam game codes for $150.

The adaptor will cost $249. But that actually wasn’t the most exciting thing HTC announced – in my opinion the Vive Tracker is a far more interesting addition to the ecosystem.

Body tracking isn’t inexpensive. A bundle of three Vive Ultimate Trackers, a wireless dongle, three TrackStraps (for waist and ankles), and a Dash Dance download key costs $599.
