The suspected perpetrator involved in the fatal incident at the Magdeburg Christmas market is expected to lose his medical licence, the regional administration for the state of Saxony-Anhalt announced on Friday.

A video of a police operation in Berlin has been misleadingly linked online to the Dec. 20 car-ramming attack at a Christmas market in the central German city of Magdeburg in posts suggesting that Muslims were targeted by authorities following the attack.

The suspect in the attack in Germany had history of threats and harassment though no record of violence and an ideology that didn’t fit familiar patterns.

Officials say five people have been killed, including a 9-year-old, after a Saudi doctor drove into a Christmas market teeming with holiday shoppers in the German city of Magdeburg on Friday.

All surviving victims of the Magdeburg Christmas market attack are in a stable condition after being taken to hospital mostly with broken bones and internal bleeding, a local hospital official has told a German newspaper.
