A cold and miserable start to Friday in SWLA is quickly clearing up, but sunshine will take a little longer to move in.

Wintry weather moves into the region on Friday with hazardous travel possible inland. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued for Robeson, Marlboro, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Marion, Williamsburg and Northern Horry Counties.

Meteorologist Mike Slifer previews the forecast, which includes two more first alert weather days for wicked wind chills.
