An estimated 5,316 structures may have been destroyed or damaged by the Palisades Fire, which is now being blamed for the deaths of two people, Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley announced Thursday.

Firefighters continue to fight the Palisades fire, which has burned more than 17,200 acres, and the Eaton fire, which has charred at least 10,600 acres in the Pasadena and Altadena areas.
