Severe Weather Team 2 is tracking a winter storm moving into north Georgia Friday with a winter mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain.

Areas in the north Georgia mountains will see between 3-6 inches of snow with locally higher amounts possible farther north into the mountains. Snowfall totals of 1-2 inches will be common around I-20 with 0.1-0.25 inch of ice possible. The northern suburbs in metro Atlanta will see between 2-3 inches of snow.

Bundle up, Oklahoma, the first significant snowfall of the winter season is about to roll across the state. The snow, which could include a brief round of sleet in some areas, will impact travel from central Oklahoma into Texas as we head into the weekend.
