Jacksonville International Airport is on track to reopen at noon today after last night's winter storm of snow and ice. The airport closed because it "does not have the ability to remove accumulated snow and ice on the runways.

Jacksonville International Airport had its busiest year in 2024, breaking its record in passenger traffic with more than 7.6 million passengers flying through the airport, according to a news release.

More than 7.6 million passengers use the airport, a 2.8% increase over 2023, the previous top year for traffic.

JIA officials announced Wednesday that JIA broke records again as more than 7.6 million travelers passed through the airport in 2024.
