LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Calcasieu detectives are currently investigating the death of a 3-month-old baby, who died early this morning. According to Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Kayla Vincent, deputies were called to a local hospital Wednesday night around 11:30 p.m. regarding a baby suffering from a brain bleed.

Ronald Schmitt, 71, is accused of stealing gasoline meant for municipal vehicles and pumping it in his personal vehicle for more than a decade, according to the Michigan State Police. The Lake Linden resident was charged for taking a five-finger discount, MSP reported.
