Very large hail, tornadoes possible with severe storms in Minnesota Thursday
"Scattered severe thunderstorms are expected to develop across east-central MN this afternoon and move into western WI this evening," says the Twin Cities office of the National Weather Service. "Storms will primarily produce large hail with damaging winds and isolated tornadoes as secondary threats."

Big-time hail possible with severe storms that erupt Thursday
The latest HRRR model shows storms erupting around 4 p.m. just west of the metro. However, if there's any delay in development or if the cold front slides through faster than the models are suggesting, then storms could wait to develop until the front is past Twin Cities.
