A flash flood warning was issued in the burn scars of the Line Fire Friday afternoon. As the San Bernardino County mountains saw September rainfall, there could be “life-threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses,” the National Weather Service warned.

A late summer storm brought light rain to the Victor Valley, snow to the San Bernardino Mountains and heavy flooding near Baker.

The rainstorms may result in excessive runoff, flooding rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations such as low-water crossings, according to the watch. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris, and extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks is possible, the watch warned.
