Following Saturday’s embarrassing loss to James Madison, reports surfaced through Inside Carolina online that Mack Brown told his players in the locker room that he was “walking away from the job” as the head coach of North Carolina.

It was a long Saturday for North Carolina and head coach Mack Brown, as the Tar Heels gave up 70 points in a loss to James Madison. Then, after the game finished, it was reported that Brown told the Tar Heels team that he would leave if things weren’t getting straightened out.

The UNC defense was in shambles in the game against James Madison as the visiting team had a lead of 11 points in the first five minutes. The offense tried hard to take the team out of the deficit but an uncooperative defense ended the game in a loss for the team. In the worst defensive shows of all time, the UNC team gave up 70 points.
