Gaza Israel has warned supporters not to travel to Paris for Thursday's Uefa Nations League match against Paris with authorities fearing it could become a flashpoint following violence in Amsterdam surrounding a match involving an Israeli team last week.

After the attacks on Israeli supporters in Amsterdam, Israel has issued a warning to its citizens wishing to attend events, including the team's soccer match against France this week.

At least five people have been hospitalized and 62 others were detained after a night of violence targeting Israeli soccer fans in Amsterdam on Thursday, authorities said. The violence occurred after a UEFA Europa League match between the Israeli Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club and the Dutch Ajax Football Club in Amsterdam.

Paris police said Sunday that 4,000 officers and 1,600 stadium staff will be deployed for a France-Israel soccer match to ensure security in and around the stadium and on public transportation a week after violence against Israeli fans in Amsterdam.

Israeli fans were leaving the Dutch capital Amsterdam on special flights on Saturday following violent attacks on the fringes of a football match on Thursday evening, the Dutch news agency ANP reported.
