French police arrested 10 suspects in the kidnapping and torture of Ledger co-founder David Balland and his wife. Abducted from their home in Méreau, they were separated and held captive as kidnappers demanded a cryptocurrency ransom.

Most of the suspects were already known to police for past criminal activities, but none had previously been involved in gang-related crime, according to prosecutors.
