Oracle stock is poised to reap the benefits of President Donald Trump’s enthusiasm for artificial intelligence, analysts said after Trump announced a $500 billion investment in AI infrastructure on Tuesday.

Stargate "will be the most important project of this era,” OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said Tuesday alongside Trump.

Under the Trump administration, OpenAI and other members of the tech sector are making a push to establish AI dominance in the U.S.

OpenAI, Oracle and Microsoft are among the technology partners in the joint venture, which will deploy $100 billion "immediately" to boost compute capacity.

Oracle's shares jumped nearly 9% before the bell on Wednesday after U.S. President Donald Trump said the company would make a large investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure, alongside OpenAI and SoftBank.

The goal is to kickstart building more datacenters to expand computing capacity for current and future AI projects, including OpenAI's goal of "AGI," which the company defines as a highly autonomous AI system that "outperforms humans at most economically valuable work.
