SEOUL, Jan. 9 (Yonhap) -- A Seoul court on Thursday again rejected an arrest warrant for a shaman reportedly close to President Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife, who faces allegations of accepting illegal political funds nearly six years ago.

A South Korean court dismissed an appeal by lawyers of Yoon Suk Yeol against an arrest warrant for the impeached president, Yonhap reported on Sunday.

A South Korean court has re-issued a warrant to arrest impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol, the country's corruption investigation agency said on Tuesday. Investigators seeking to question him on allegations of insurrection have struggled to execute a warrant for his arrest.

The lawyer also said that the impeached president will accept due procedures if the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO) requests a warrant to arrest Yoon and a court approves the warrant.

Protests surrounding impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol continued into Wednesday morning, following the re-issuance of an arrest warrant against him, giving law enforcement authorities another opportunity to apprehend him.

The Seoul Western District Court reissued an arrest warrant on Jan. 7 for impeached President Yoon Suk-yeol, who is under investigation for insurrection charges related to the Dec. 3 emergency martial law declaration.

An arrest warrant has been re-issued for South Korea's impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol. The Corruption Investigation Office for High-Ranking Officials has not confirmed how long the warrant will remain valid.
