McLaren is ahead of Red Bull in the Formula 1 constructors’ race. Now for Lando Norris to put pressure on Max Verstappen for the drivers’ title.

Red Bull Racing find themselves in dire straits ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix, with the reigning champions having fallen behind McLaren in the constructors' standings. Team advisor Helmut Marko has delivered a scathing assessment of Max Verstappen's performance in a telling admission of the RB20's struggles.

Red Bull says that “nothing is working” with its Formula 1 car in Singapore after a disappointing opening day of practice. While Sergio Perez ended up eighth overall in the more representative second session,

Norris and Piastri have combined to win two of the last three F1 races for McLaren, while Verstappen hasn't won since the Spanish Grand Prix on June 23. While the team has said it wants Norris to dethrone Verstappen, Brown knows it is a longshot unless Norris can start sledgehammering-away large chunks of Verstappen's lead every race.

Formula 1's governing body have reached a verdict over the the legality of McLaren's 2024 car. The announcement comes after the team's main championship rivals, Red Bull, previously raised questions regarding whether the papaya rear wing complied with the sport's rules.
