Disney had reportedly been eyeing Ryan Gosling and Zac Efron for J. J. Abrams' 2015 acclaimed flick, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The critically acclaimed actor, who starred in "Blade Runner 2049," is no stranger to sci-fi and may be joining the Star Wars universe in a new film.

Ryan Gosling ( Barbie, Fall Guy ) is confirmed to be in talks to join Shawn Levy ’s Star Wars movie at Lucasfilm. Levy has been developing the film with writer Jonathan Tropper for two years, and it’s been rumored that the project could start production as early as this fall.

And this, you feel, is why Ryan Gosling will be the perfect man to take the lead in a Levy film. He has that Ford ability to combine humour and heavy charisma, as seen when the pair matched up in Blade Runner 2049.
