Community leaders are emphasizing that local law enforcement -- the Kern County Sheriff's Office and Bakersfield Police Department -- aren't doing anything.

While we're still awaiting a full, official statement from Border Patrol as of airtime, 17's Jenny Huh spoke with one agent on-the-ground who said it's not a widespread roundup.

The Border Patrol has been visible in several parts of Kern County the last few days. They confirmed people have been arrested in their operation.
