Losing Elon Musk’s support would harm Reform UK but the relationship can be mended, Nigel Farage has said. The Reform leader said he would be in the United States “for a good sort of four or five days” for Donald Trump ’s inauguration as president, during which time he would meet billionaire Mr Musk.

Nigel Farage has distanced himself from Tommy Robinson after Elon Musk swung behind the jailed political activist, calling for his release. The Reform UK leader said Mr Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is “not what we need”, as his party seeks to challenge Labour in upcoming elections.

Farage told journalists his party was in "negotiations" with Mr Musk, the world's richest man, about a potential donation. But come the new year, the relationship had soured, with Tesla boss Mr Musk saying Farage "did not have what it takes" to lead the party.

The billionaire diverted his support away from Farage to lead Reform UK earlier this week with Errol Musk echoing his claims.
