No charges are likely for Bridgeport officers in the fatal 2024 shooting of a man in Ansonia but there were problems with how it was handled, a report says.

The Office of the Inspector General has determined that the 2024 Bridgeport police shooting of a man in Ansonia who died was questionable but said there is insufficient evidence to support a criminal prosecution.

A state investigation released this week found that a fatal police shooting of an unarmed man last year was "questionable" and stemmed from a "flawed" investigation. However, investigators said there was not enough evidence to prosecute the officers.
