Third-year Lakers guard Max Christie seems to be becoming one of the 3-and-D wings the team has desperately needed for a while.

LeBron James scored 38 points, Max Christie had a career-high 28 and the Los Angeles Lakers overcame Anthony Davis’ absence for a 114-106 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

In just his second game as a 40-year-old, James had 38 points, three rebounds and eight assists on 15-of-25 from the field and 7-of-10 from deep. It marked the 562nd time that LeBron scored at least 30 points in a regular season game, which ties Michael Jordan for the most all-time.
