Amazon has cozied up to President-elect Donald Trump since he won the election, with a documentary about his wife, incoming first lady Melania Trump, being its latest gesture.

One of the biggest names attached to the project is Brett Ratner, who will return to the director's chair after living in relative obscurity since 2019, when several women accused him of sexual abuse and misconduct — claims he has denied.

Amazon is forking over $40 million for the licensing rights to a documentary about incoming First Lady Melania Trump directed by alleged sexual harasser Brett Ratner, according to a report. The as-yet-untitled film will receive a small theatrical release before it appears on the e-commerce giant’s streaming platform,
