Sanrio is tugging at the nostalgic heartstrings with the help of Netflix. The streaming giant is expanding its Japanese animation repertoire with a new My Melody & Kuromi stop-motion series. Two of the most beloved characters from the Sanrio family will receive its own show that is set to debut later this summer.

Netflix has officially unveiled the first look at My Melody & Kuromi, its newest stop-motion animated series based on beloved Sanrio characters. The show is expected to make its debut sometime in July 2025.

Kawaii to the max, the series follows the adventures of two of the most beloved characters from Japan's Sanrio, world-famous as the creator of Hello Kitty.
