In a novel promotion, Season 1 of breakout Apple TV+ series Severance will stream free on the Roku Channel during the runup to the second-season premiere.

Ahead of the Severance season 2 premiere, you can now catch up on season 1 for free for a limited time courtesy of the Roku Channel. The first season is available to stream on the platform from now until January 19,

Apple TV+ really hopes you'll get hooked on the dystopian hit—which, to be fair, you probably will—and become a subscriber for Severance season two.

Apple is using the Adam Scott thriller to try and drive new subscribers to its streaming service, following a number of moves to get its programming in front of those who may mot have sampled it.
