George Clinton, The Doobie Brothers, Ashley Gorley, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, The Beach Boys’ Mike Love and Tony Macaulay make up the 2025 Songwriters Hall of Fame inductees

This year's Songwriters Hall of Fame inductees include iconic artists and producers like The Doobie Brothers, George Clinton and Ashley Gorley, among others.

Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, Tony Macaulay and Ashley Gorley also make up the 2025 class. They will be inducted on June 12 in New York.

George Clinton and Rodney “Darkchild” Jenkins have been selected for induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, which celebrates accomplished artists, producers, and writers for their musical contributions.

The Songwriters Hall Of Fame has announced their class of 2025. This year’s performing inductees are Parliament-Funkadelic ringleader George Clinton, the Beach Boys’ Mike Love, and the Doobie Brothers’ Tom Johnston,

McDonald is a five-time Grammy winner. Simmons and Jerkins are both two-time Grammy winners. All three musicians have won record of the year — McDonald and Simmons as performers on The Doobie Brothers’ “What a Fool Believes”; Jerkins for co-producing Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me (Darkchild Mix),” the subtitle a nod to Jerkins’ nickname.

Mike Love, a co-founder and lead vocalist for the Beach Boys, is among this year’s fun, fun, fun honorees for the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Love’s induction, which comes exactly 25 years after his bandmate Brian Wilson was bestowed with the award,
