The sequels have a big problem with explaining far too little in favour of driving forwards to the next big action sequence. Rey is not as big of problem with these films as this. TFA should've been used as a way to explain a lot of backstory to what the heck has been going on in the Star Wars galaxy these last 30 years.

Star Wars created a space in the movie and merchandising industry that all sorts of other people now occupy. A lot of fans seem to think that Star Wars should always be as popular as in the 80s or whenever the first film of a new trilogy comes out.

One day someone is going to write a tell-all book about the behind the scenes of Disney's Star Wars. It's going to be amazing. We can debate the quality of the products since the take over, but there is no debating the behind the scenes has been a chaotic mess. The next Star Wars should just be called "creative differences".

The star wars timeline is thousands of years long. They can tell star wars stories in ANY era they want, and create whole new eras. Heck if they wanted they could fast forward 300 years to when the events of the sequel's are a distant memory, and focus on the story of Mandolorian Grogu.

Im sure we will see Mark Hamil and other force ghost guiding her through it all. I am honestly surprised so many people are applauding her return after the general dislike for the sequels.
