Guys, good news they fixed the issue and The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection shows up on the EA App to download & install now if you own it. What a relief.

Hi there @beckys19, The Sims 2 is no longer available digitally through Origin for purchase- if you do not already own The Ultimate Collection in Origin, the only way to play is through the disk version.

I OWN Sims 2 ultimate collection, but cannot access it via EA app because it does not show up in there. I'm super mad about this. It worked fine in Origin, but now I cannot open that anymore because it tells me to switch on EA app. What is the point, when only game I play is Sims 2 AND IT DOESN'T WORK?

The Sims 2 Spinoffs (The Sims Life Stories, The Sims Pet Stories and The Sims Castaway Stories) have also shown up, even before TS2, but they downloaded without issues. As they use legacy installers, I was offered a download link (which expired after a few hours) to use in the browser instead of directly downloading in EA App.
